This picture was taken outside of Mammoth California. It's a partial shot of a cinder cone with clouds in the back to the left. What made this picture special was the light play on the ground.

Ample Rainy Days - Spring Mountains

Some days we're lucky and the desert comes alive after a good soaking. This doesn't happen very often, kind of like Death Valley when there's a bloom. The Spring Mountains are vibrant after a few days of rain - the colors jump when the ground is damp.  I thoroughly enjoy the shadow cloud-play in this shot.

It's nice when you're driving and some pictures present themselves without notice. I don't often carry my camera with me because I'm not yet free from a job. This is a cell phone shot with an older phone.  It's nice to capture the moments.
