This next picture shows the mountains as a fractal image. There's not a lot of difference, but the wavy lines of the hills contrast the original picture nicely.

Great Sierra Shot
If you like the seasonally changing colors then you'll enjoy this shot. In the Sierras, many of the broadleaf trees transition to bright yellows and burnt oranges just before dropping to the ground. While the original picture looks great, I really like how the same image modified with fractals turned out. The lines are smooth, the colors are more brilliant, and pay special attention to the foliage.
Below is the fractal of the same image. If you download it, enjoy it.

Good Comparison
In this next set of photos taken in the Eastern Sierras, I show the difference between using fractals and not. The original picture is nice, the clouds came through well and the fall colors look great in front of the mountain in the background. Using fractals, however, really changes the look of the scene.
And here is the same photo using fractals. You can see there is heavy use. I don't always use fractals with such depth, but in this photo, it worked.

Lakeside Fractal
This next pic is another fractal and is a picture of the side shore of a lake in the Sierra Nevadas. The original picture was only okay, but using fractals greatly improved the image. The upper left corner is a higher mountain peak above the mid-range mountains which were covered in trees. On the right, fall tree colors are accentuated in the yellow and orange entangled colors.
