Sliding Ice

There are not very many places on each where you walk under a glacier. This is one of many which are sliding to their demise, slowly grinding it's way to the ocean. The ground inside is being pulverized and turned info fine grains sand from the massive weight of the ice.

Some of these glaciers are moving several feet per day and melting at rates never seen in recorded history. While beautiful to look at the photograph, their disappearance is rapidly approaching and the geographical changes are just beginning at an exponential rate.

Superb Tranquility

There are not many places where you can truly gaze your eyes over the horizon and say to yourself you have reacyed a point of nirvana, the spot never seen yet finally discovered. The peace and warmth which traverses your body, knowing at this moment you may never again witness such beauty or feel such inner-gratifaction.

Take in those moments and enjoy life, don't let these times leave your senses unacknowledged.

Desert Lightning

Wow, excitement when you least expect it.

The next time you're in the desert and there are a few clouds in the sky with rain in the distance, don't dismiss what might happen. It's a somewhat rare event to capture a rainbow and lightning together, but when it's this close, it can not only be frightening, but also deafening.

Amazing, beautiful light in a scene rarely seen let-alone captured.

Chilly Days

It's that time of year again and the chilly days are everywhere, albeit a little late, but still cold to the bone.

Nothing like a beautiful set of mountains with the beginnings of snow to tell us what's on the way. Snowfall provides a welcome change of season many of us look forward to. Even though some of us are Grizzly bears and like to hibernate during the cold season, the remainder of us are Polar bears and love the snowy weather.

Enjoy the winter season of 2017, keep warm, and plow the snow!

Incredible Volcano

The incredible amount of power a volcano can push into the atmosphere is amazing.  Thousands of tons of matter, some thrown miles into the air, then blown around the world by the trade-winds.  The lightning from these eruptions creates dazzling light displays not often seen on rainy days.
